Yorktown Stables

Yorktown Stables is a premium multi-discipline full service equine facility conveniently located in Yorktown, Virginia.  Kristen Paster established Yorktown Stables in January 2010 providing lessons, boarding, sales and trails – all contribute to our reputation for excellent horse care, exceptional lesson and trail programs,  and family friendly atmosphere.
Yorktown Stables, spanning over 100 acres, is located in the heart of historic Yorktown with easy access from I-64. We are the only stable in Hampton Roads that offers Saddleseat Lessons, Vaulting Lessons and Guided Trail Rides. Our guided trail rides are offered year round and cover both open and wooded land along the Poquoson River.
Whether you are experiencing riding for the first time, returning to the saddle after time away, or have decided to improve existing skills, we hope to share with you the joy and sense of accomplishment that working with horses can bring. Need something different? Customized plans by private treaty gladly arranged.

Looking for a horse? Yorktown Stables is continuously working and training horses for trail, show and pleasure. We are very picky when matching horses and riders; after all, we want it to work.  We will be happy to discuss any prospects with your trainer to see if your choice is something your trainer recommends would work for your riding level, or help you along the way.
Yorktown Stables is home for the American Quarter Horses (AQHA) and American Paint Horses (APHA).
