Stonehouse Stables Winter Series Classic
Logan Bishop and her horse Ashgrove lead the Victory Gallop, placing first at the annual Stonehouse Stables Winter Series Classic on March 2 in the Stonehouse Stables Main Show Ring in Toano.
Other winners in the Classic were Gwyneth Martin in second, riding Rock ‘N Roll’ Abigail Best in third. riding Farnley Good Samaritan; and Madison Cooper in fourth, riding In the Stars and Stripes. The Classic is a scored event and was judged by Clyde Poarch, a recognized VHSA judge. Show sponsors Southern States, Tractor Supply and Charlie Faber Shoeing Services provided prizes for the top eight participants. The “Lucky Thirteen” Winter Series, with 40-plus competitors, finished the season with the March Show and will hold an Awards Banquet on March 23. For information, call 566-0666.
